Mimeistry’s Vision Statement

Mimeistry is a non-profit, interdenominational organization that started with nothing more than a dream. This dream changed the live of it of its first dreamer, our founder Todd Farley in 1982, and became the vision of the organization, by its incorporation in 1990 by Todd and his wife Marilyn. Since that time, Mimeistry has expanded to become an international artistic organization, and multi-national family of artistic Christians, who share in this vision.

We expresses this vision through excellence in artistic ministry, discipleship via our full-time School of Ministering Arts, or Mimeistry’s Achievement Program, our professional touring company, and a world-wide Guild with offices, houses, ambassadors, and affiliates. We send out soloists and/or troupes, to minister in theatres, churches, schools, prisons, hospitals, the street, and market place.

   Jest to save the world…

Amusingly enough, we realize this dream not through vague focus on artistic finesse (even though it is vital), or even by the blurred spotlight of international recognition (although this is crucial too), but by vividly pursuing the most effective way of clearly communicating the good, the true, and the beautiful Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. This allows us to reach the lost; speak to the children, the elderly, families, communities, those in prison, the peripheral of society, the ‘artsy’, the oppressed, the naked, and the discriminated against. It is through this artistic simplicity that we can “speak without using words” and show people a glimpse of the face of God. Accordingly, we have toured in over 38 nations including Russia, the Orient, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, and we have seen people saved, inspired, and changed.

Mimeistry International has active representation in many countries, such as: England, France, Germany, Holland, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and the United States. It is also partly due to this vision and extensive ministry that Mimeistry today is the world’s largest network and most recognized “School” of mime in ministry. Even the legendary Marcel Marceau recognizes our students for their technical excellence, and calls our style of ministry, “the perfect synthesis of mime and dance”.

   Everywhere in the world but not of it…

Even though Mimeistry strongly focuses on “outside” ministry, we also invest countless resources into the professional schooling of students in the Art of Mime, Dance and/or Drama. Balancing their training with sound Biblical insight, Mimeistry’s School of Ministering Arts prepares the student for an artistic vocation in the local church, the mission field, or the greater society. This can be accomplished by attending Mimeistry’s School of the Ministering Arts (full-time Ministering Arts College training), studying via correspondence (part-time training/studies), workshops around the world, or one of the many other ways to get involved (please see our training page).

Since 1994, Mimeistry School of Ministering Arts has joined with Living Word Bible College and created the B.MA Degree, taking a beginner (or Student) Performing Arts Minister (Mime, Dance, Drama) to a level of ministerial excellence and professional artist standard. The school campus is located in Pasadena, California, were we offer a Bachelors of Ministering Arts (B.MA Degree), or shorter programs of training/study.

Ministering in excellence for over 25 years, we believe that we should develop the gifts and calling God has given us, through glorifying Him artistically, ministerally, and in our discipleship of others.

Under the pastoral oversight of David & Elaine Fischer and Living Waters Christian Fellowship, Mimeistry is supported by love offerings, the School of the Arts, product sales and other training programs around the world.

   The Faces behind the Name

Our ‘Master Teachers’ are invited to perform internationally, and teach a student body representing at least 6 nations each year. Even though these things testify of our commitment to God’s calling, we are still growing in opportunities to minister throughout the US and abroad.
